We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Group VP Legal to lead the legal department of an international company.
As the Group VP Legal, you will lead a team of legal professionals and be responsible for setting the strategic direction of the legal department. You will work closely with senior management and board members to advise on complex legal issues and business strategies. Your role will involve negotiating, drafting, and reviewing major contracts and agreements, as well as managing litigation and regulatory compliance issues. You will also be instrumental in shaping policies and procedures that mitigate legal risks and promote ethical practices throughout the organisation.
The ideal candidate will have a qualified legal degree and a minimum of 10 years of legal experience in a leadership role within a corporate environment. Strong expertise in corporate law, governance, compliance, and risk management is essential. The ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and lead a team towards achieving excellence is also crucial. Membership in a recognised legal body is required.
